Pocofone F1 Snapdragon 845 at just $300
Xiaomi Poco F1 is the new line of flagship low-cost smartphones. It has Qualcomm's top of the line Snapdragon 845 processor and cost is just $300. Unbelievable, isn't it.
It is launched in India for ₹ 20,999($300), later it will be available in other parts of the world.
Why ?
The first question is why Xiaomi created sub-brand Pocofone, well companies like OnePlus has succeeded by offering premium performance of mid range devices. In an interview Xiaomi's lead product manager for Pocofone Jai Mani said, that they follow android users on Raddit to learn what users really want on their next phone. Users wanted fast processor, good battery life and durable body at affordable price. So Xiaomi decided to create sub brand Pocofone to produce cheap smartphone with true flagship power.
How ?
The goal is to make a affordable powerful machine. Building a durable body using polycarbonate or Kevlar (depending on model ) instead of all glass like other flagship phones(S9) helps to reduce the cost. Exclusive deals with online retailers, absence of physical stores, production in batches and flash sales helps Xiaomi to keep their cost manageable.

Poco F1 has Snapdragon 845 flagship processor which offers premium performance, big 4000 mAh battery, 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera, 20 MP front camera and an infrared camera with infrared illuminator in front for face unlock, rear fingerprint scanner. Base model comes with 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, while top model have 8GB RAM, 256 GB storage. The display is 6.18 inches 1080x2246 pixels, 18.7:9 IPS LCD.

Remarkable features -
Liquid cool technology-
Snapdragon 845 have 4 x 2.8 GHz cores and 4 x 1.8GHz cores. Higher CPU speed generates more heat, that's why Xiaomi provided high-end cooling solution in Poco F1. There is a thick cooper pipe containing liquid, runs along surface of CPU to bottom side of the phone. When CPU gets hot the liquid in the pipe evaporates and moves to cooler end of the pipe where it condenses to liquid, transferring heat in process. so the processor can perform longer without being overheated.
Kevlar back on Armoured edition-
The Armoured edition differs from regular Poco F1 by its back. It is made of Kevlar insted of plastic, it is one of the sturdiest panels and scratch resistant.
